Marking her newfound fame, supermodel Danielle Herrington graces the steamy cover of the highly anticipated Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018. With 21 covers in the magazine’s 54-year history. Herrington becomes the third black woman to appear on the cover, joining Tyra Banks (1997) and Beyonce (2005).

The two-time SI Swimsuit model walked into a studio and met with the legend herself—the one and only Tyra Banks. The unforgettable reveal of a lifetime took place as the duo embraced.

Shot by photographer Ben Watts, the beautiful brunette posed for the cameras at Harbour Island, Bahamas. As you can tell with the eye-catching cover, jaws dropped when she stepped onto the sand beaches of the Caribbean island in her pink bikini.

4) Her Inspiring Message!
Her cover model writes on her official Instagram post, “I dedicate this to all the young girls out there. Work hard, surround yourself with good people who believe in you and your DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!”

3) She’s A Natural Brand Ambassador!

SI Swimsuit Editor MJ Day states, “She’s an extra hard worker and a natural brand ambassador. All those things separately don’t guarantee a cover, though. Danielle was a shy girl, who went from taking her first photos last year to showing up this year a completely different person. All the good things about her seemed to be magnified.”

2) She’s Not Afraid To Show Her Feelings!
The up-and-comer burst into tears as Banks passed the torch, “One girl stands before me, but I only have one photo in my hands, and this photo represents the girl that is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 cover model.”

1) She’s Got A Bright Future!

Previous cover models, such as Kate Upton, Heidi Klum, Kathy Ireland and Christie Brinkley, have gone on to have illustrious careers. I cant wait to what the Brooklyn native brings to the movie, television, and business industry.

The latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, with Danielle Herrington over the cover, arrives in newsstands on February 14th, 2018.
