A major character has crossed over, continuing his journey from The Walking Dead as AMC presents the Season 4 premiere, Episode 1: What’s Your Story?, of Fear The Walking Dead. Viewers will discover what happened to the Clark family during Morgan (Lennie James)’s highly anticipated crossover.
After claiming victory against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Morgan (James) has been living in the landfill jungle of the Scavengers. Jesus (Tom Payne), Carol (Melissa McBride), and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) each pay him a visit and ask him to return to Alexandria. Morgan is told by Rick that he can hide from humanity, but he can’t run.
Running away, Morgan travels far and steals a car. Finding another car, a dying stranger refuses Morgan’s help and reminds him, “We are all alone.” During the night, Morgan is about to kill a walker when gunslinger John Dorie (Garret Dillahunt) shoots him in the head.
Though John offers Morgan shelter, he ultimately refuses and continues running. Morgan ends up getting attacked by Leland (Clint James) and his gang. Just when the guns are pulled, John starts shooting.
After a standoff, John and Morgan end up in need of rescuing themselves. Althea (Maggie Grace) suddenly shows up in her SWAT van and holds Leland hostage, offering a trade. After saving their lives, Althea explains she is a journalist and she wants their life story.
Telling his life story, John confesses to Althea’s videocamera that he is looking for the love of his life. Morgan though is hesitant about telling his and continues to run, telling Althea, “When I lose people, I lose myself.” John ends up chasing after him, refusing to leave his new friend alone.
Hiding in the shadows, Leland and his gang launch their attack again. John fights back, whips out his gun, and starts shooting; making noises to attract the attention of the walkers. Running across the rooftops, Morgan gets shot in the shot before he crashes through the roof with the sniper.
While the sniper ends up being eaten alive by the walkers, Althea and Leland end up fighting for the keys for SWAT van. John shoots Leland in the back, giving Althea time to reach for her guns. After pulling the level, the guns inside the SWAT van automatically turn on and start gunning down the walker horde.
Unable to stick around, Morgan continues pushing through and finds himself in the middle of the road. With his leg busted, Morgan trips and finds himself surrounded by walkers. John shows up in the nick of time and saves Morgan.
John helps Morgan up from the floor as they spot a stranded car from before. The walker happens to be the dying stanger who refused Morgan’s help. Morgan ends up killing him with his stick.
Back in SWAT van, Morgan hitches a ride with John and Althea. She still wants to know about the tiger. Just when things are looking up for the trio, Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and her feral crew hold them hostage.
Fear The Walking Dead continues Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
