Tom Holland’s Terror Time pumps up the ‘80s nostalgia as they officially announce Fright Night: The Peter Vincent Chronicles, a comic book sequel to the popular horror classic. The adaptation is written/edited by Ben Meares (Hellraiser: Anthology) and illustrated by artist Riley Schmitz (Invisible Hands).

Fright Night: The Peter Vincent Chronicles is a 24-page original comic book, based on a story by Tom Holland. The zero issue will focus on the adventures of Peter Vincent (originally played by Roddy McDowall). The story takes place immediately after the events of the first film, and serves as a bridge into future Fright Night comic books.

5) A Tribute To Roddy McDowall!

Writer/director Tom Holland reveals how the comic is a continuation of his cult classic, “Roddy would be proud to know his creation was continuing his journey in such high (and bloody) style. Ben Meares’ story is a winner and Riley Schmitz’s artwork captures the Fright Night experience for today’s fans. Onward, with The Peter Vincent Chronicles!”

4) It’s Peter Vincent!

Meares explains why the vampire hunter has such staying power, “I believe a huge contributor to its staying power is the character of Peter Vincent. My goal here was to delve deeper into Peter as a character, and present him with a fresh set of challenges, personal and supernatural, to face off against. Being able to do so with the blessing from the film’s creator is quite simply a dream come true.”

3) For The Fans!

Schmitz adds, “As a huge fan of the movie, I made it my mission to capture its feel in comic book form, while still trying something new.” He says, “I’m thrilled for this project and truly believe fans will enjoy it.”

2) The Deluxe Edition!

Both the commemorative coin and the stake replica are taken directly from the pages of the comic.
