Here are 5 reasons you have to see John Carpenter’s The Fog in theaters:

5) The 4K Restoration!

According to Variety, the movie has been out of theatrical release for years due to faded, unplayable prints. The Fog can now be viewed with the 4K restoration of its breathtaking color cinematography. Director of photography Dean Cundey (Escape From New York) deftly captured the daylight beauty of the Point Reyes shore and the ghostly encounters in the dark, eerie night.

4) The Most Visually Alluring Film Ever!

Rialto’s Director of Sales, Eric Di Bernardo, states, “The Fog has been our most requested title for as long as we have handled the Studiocanal library here. It is Carpenter’s most visually alluring film and we think it’s been worth the wait.”

3) The Cast!

The ensemble cast includes Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins, Hal Holbrook and the mother/ daughter duo of Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis. Returning to the franchise that started her career, Jamie Lee Curtis will also be returning as Laurie Strode in the upcoming Halloween remake.
