Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have released new character posters for the highly anticipated comic book thriller, Glass, starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy. Writer/director M. Night Shyamalan reunites the cast of his popular films, Unbreakable, and Split. for his upcoming crossover event movie.
Following the conclusion of Split, David Dunn [Wills] pursues Kevin Wendell Crumb [McAvoy]’s superhuman figure of The Beast. During their series of escalating encounters, the shadowy presence of Elijah Price [Jackson] emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Here are 5 reasons we love these Glass posters:
5) Kevin Wendell Crumb!
If you notice in the poster, Kevin Wendell Crumb (McAvoy)’s whole world appears to be shattered as The Beast has been let loose. In the poster above, Crumb’s other two personalities—The Kid and The Woman—make an appearance. I wonder how The Beast will react to the return, Anya Taylor-Joy (Casey Cooke), the only survivor of his previous massacre.
4) Purple Rain!
I will say Samuel L. Jackson looks terrific wearing a purple blazer. The poster is going to back to Unbreakbale’s roots and embracing the comic book look. There is no other personality popping out when the glass is shattered, but what’s with the closeup of the eye?
3) The Hero!
This poster focuses on David Dunn (Wills) being in an out of costume. Poor Dunn, it looks like being a crime-fighter has taken a toll on him. We know Spencer Treat Clark will reprise his role as David’s son, Joseph Dunn, but how has their relationship turned out since we last saw them.
2) The Genius!
Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) is such a big deal in the trailers. I gotta ask, How come she ain’t got a poster?
1) The Good, The Bad & The Ugly!
These posters are hyping me up! I’m expecting a big battle between David, Elijah, and Kevin aka The Beast.
Glass will hit theaters on January 18, 2019.
