NBC has locked in the premiere date for the highly anticipated Season 3 of the action-packed drama, Blindspot. After the shocking Season 2 cliffhanger, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
As we previously mentioned, Blindspot follows Jane Doe (Alexander), who has no memory of who she is. Jane’s only clues are covered all her tattooed body. With the help of FBI agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his Critical Incident Response Group, Jane has to figure what the mysterious tattoos mean before Sandstorm completes their mission.
[SPOILERS AHEAD] Here are 5 reasons why we are excited for the third season of Blindspot:
5. New Time Slot!
According to Deadline, NBC has plans for their Friday time slots and will re-air new shows at the beginning of each season. Starting at the 8pm time slot, Blindspot will launch its third season in October, just before Halloween.
4. That Cliffhanger!
Years have passed since Kurt and Jane stopped Sandstorm’s grand plan for Phase Two. Though they have separated, Kurt traveled around the world to find Jane. They may have stopped Phase Two from being completed but Jane’s neck tattoo warns them another sinister plan is in the works.
3. Weller’s Team Is MIA!
In the shocking cliffhanger, Weller reveals Tasha (Audrey Esparza), Edgar Reade (Rob Brown), and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and are all missing! They have been kidnapped and need to be rescued! How the hell did that happen!?! What kind of Big Bad is able to take down all three?!?
2. Roman’s Still Around!
Jane’s long lost brother, Roman (Luke Mitchell) was mentioned in the dialogue. Roman could still be mad at Jane for erasing his memory. Kurt and Roman are on uneasy terms, especially since Jane’s brother murdered his childhood best friend. With Shepard (Michelle Hurd)locked away, could Roman be the new leader of a bigger and badder Sandstorm?
1. What’s Going On In Italy!
Creator/showrunner Martin Gero set the season premiere specifically in Italy. Holding the production book in his hands, Gero promises in his Instagram post, “Big things are coming!”
