An impressive follow-up, Bone Parish #2 (BOOM! Studios) cleverly combines the thrilling crime and horror genres into an unforgettable read! As for standout second issue, this supernatural crime story focuses on its interesting characters after that shocking plot twist.
As a new drug continues to spread across New Orleans, the Winters family is forced to defend their turf from the encroaching drug cartels. But some mysterious deaths could threaten everyone in New Orleans…
We have 5 reasons why you should get Bone Parish #2:

In the first issue, we find out this new drug that everybody is talking about is made from humans! The ashes that the users are inhaling are from the dead. Even the cook who makes the drugs has to work extra hard to get the material!
4) The Writing!
Writer Cullen Bunn does a fantastic job jumping around from the users, the dealers, and the kingpins. Bunn builds up the relationship between Brae and his father through flashbacks. Letterer Ed Dukeshire subtly hints at the trippy hallucinations that Brigitte is going through.
3) The Artwork!
There is a nightclub scene that is beautifully captured by artist Jonas Scharf. I love how the the music symbols are dancing around in the low-lit setting. You really get the feel of New Orleans through the exteriors!
2) The Colors!
Colorist Alex Gumares heightens the backgrounds with a touch of primary hues. In the opening pages, notice how the green CSI team stand out in the crime scene. Notice how the hallucination in the last pages has such a vivid blend.
