Containing intense moments filled with must-see action and scares, Uncork’d Entertainment delivers a genuinely gritty horror movie, Minutes to Midnight, starring William Baldwin and Richard Grieco. Director Christopher Ray achieves a tone of grittiness that never relents!
What happens when a night of fun turns into a night of horror? Seven friends and a mysterious backpacker converge at a desolate ski lodge in the mountains and as the clock begins the countdown to the New Year, they discover that the end of the old year may be the end of all their years as they are systematically hunted down by ruthless masked men with a deadly agenda.
Here are 5 reasons why you should see Minutes to Midnight:
5) Richard Grieco!
When one of your favorite actors from your all-time favorite TV show, 21 Jump Street, shows up, \your mind is kept at its fullest attention! Showing off the on-screen charisma he had as Booker, Grieco convincingly portrays a world-weary Sheriff Wyatt, who seeks to redeem himself from a wild past. As actor/executive producer, Grieco leads the ensemble cast — which includes Dominique Swain (Face-Off) and Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) — and sets the film’s dark, serious tone.
4) William Baldwin!
As a fan of The Squid and the Whale, I knew William Baldwin would bring in a boatload of charm when he arrives on-screen. I loved Baldwin’s interaction with Grieco, as their characters, Mr. Walters and Sheriff Wyatt, confront each other! It’s such an amazing scene to watch as Mr. Walters and Sheriff Wyatt play mind-games against each other.
3) John Hennigan!
Are you a fan of wrestling as much as I am? Hennigan was a majaor standout in the wrestling industry as John Morrison in WWE Smackdown! and Lucha Underground. Not only is he a real natural on camera, I just loved seeing Hennigan fight off the monsters in his action sequences! Hennigan plays Travis Crenna, a stranded visitor searching for his missing brother.
2) The Big Bads!
The big bads in this horror flick are a mix of the psycho slashers in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. Mercy Malick defines Calypso with her grimy mask and unclean look.
1) A Grungy Horror Flick!
A solid effort, Minutes to Midnight delivers the kill scenes, the action, and the bloody goods that horror fans will definitely enjoy. So if you love horror, this movie is definitely worth checking out!
