Who isn’t a huge fan of Spider-Man? I love that Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Peter Parker are in the same universe in this reboot; so we’re not dimension-jumping. The trio share the same age, as if they’re all learning how to be heroes at the same time.
4) The Writing!
I love that writer Delilah S. Dawson is diving into journalism, which is a modern reflection of our divisive time. There is no better representation for the search for the truth than Spidey regular, Robbie Robertson. Letterer Shawn Lee captures the rambling internal thoughts and snappy dialogue of an energetic and naive teenager.
3) The Art!
Artist Fico Ossio captures a lively and vibrant cityscape in the backgrounds. Ossio illustrates the tall buildings and streets of the Big Apple with such exuberance. It’s such an immense thrill seeing Spider-Man web-swinging through city during the daytime.
2) The Colors!
The red tone of Spider-Man’s bounces off the page thanks to colorist Ronda Pattison. The white tones of Spider-Man’s eyes add to the expressiveness. The mutated rats and dogs are a blend of gray and greenish colors.

The perfect introduction for new readers, Marvel Action: Spider-Man #1 is such a colorful and fun adventure! This first installment will surely make a Spidey fan out of anyone!
