The stakes are raised as the epic crossover continues with exciting superhero action in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #27 (BOOM! Studios). In the war against Drakkon, The Power Rangers are left reeling after the loss of familiar friend.

As Lord Drakkon’s power and influence grows, the Power Rangers find themselves working with new allies from across time and dimensions. The Ranger teams such as Time Force, RPM, and Samurai, have to craft a plan to fight back…but is it already too late?

Here are 5 reasons why you should pick up Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #27:

5) What Happened Before!

In the previous installment, Tommy’s evil counterpart crossed over into another dimension. Just when Kimberly and Tommy were on their first date, Drakkon delivered a shocking fatal blow. The Rangers didn’t even have time to mourn for Tommy’s death as Drakkon’s invasion continued.

4) Teens With Attitude!

Writer Kyle Higgins teases what’s actually going on in Drakkon’s world during his absence. In Drakkon’s world, Skull appears to be playing a pivotal role. Higgins plays around with Skull’s personality, moving away from the slapstick bully persona.

3) The Artwork

With ink assistance by Simona Di Gianfelice, artist Daniele Di Nicuolo captures Drakkon’s invasion in an eye-catching one-pager. Ed Dukeshire’s lettering captures the emotional toll from Zordon’s narrative as the illustration highlights the casualties. We see the epic scope in a single page!

2) The Colors! The Colors!

Colorist Walter Baiamonte paints a vivid palette when the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord shows up. The bright redness of the zord stands out in the middle of the scorching desert. I loved seeing the Tyrannosaurus in action during the climax!

1) A Fantastic Read!

Overall, the epic crossover carries on with another big twist in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #27. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
