As the exciting crossover event continues, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, the vampire without a soul, fight for their lives in the action-packed Hellmouth #2 (BOOM! Studios). From the mind of Joss Whedon, the Hellmouth has been opened and the Hellmother has unleashed her bloodthirsty children.
Buffy and Angel must find a way to work together as the Hellmouth begins to open and evil spreads across Sunnydale. But can Angel keep his true identity a secret from Buffy, or will the Hellmouth force him to reveal the monster within?

After recruiting Charles Gunn, Angel had to leave to Los Angeles on an urgent matter. Buffy, along with her friends, are trying to be normal teens at the school dance. When the ground suddenly opens up, the gates of Hell have been unlocked. No one at Sunnydale is safe from what is coming out of the Hellmouth.
4) The Writing!
Writers Jordie Bellaire and Jeremy Lambert do a fantastic job of exploring Buffy and Angel’s dynamic. Trapped inside the Hellmouth, Buffy needs a mentor like Giles to show her the ropes, but Angel doesn’t want to be that teacher. They both have to face their own personal demons together if they ever want to escape. Letter Ed Dukeshire emphasizes The Mother in bold to foreshadow the upcoming introduction of the new Big Bad.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Elenora Carlini captures so much of the action in wide shots and suspense in extended panels. Similar to a single unedited tracking shot, Buffy runs across the cave and dives from one underground tunnel to another. In humorous ways, Carlini depicts Buffy being sassy and feisty whenever Angel strikes up a cynical remark.
2) The Colors!
Colorist Cris Peter has a different color palette for each level of the Hellmouth. When Buffy and Angel are together, the tones are a mixture of red and orange. When Buffy find herself in a surreal hallucination, the backgrounds are painted in bluish hues.
1) For The Fans!
The chemistry between Angel and Buffy is the real selling point in Hellmouth #2. Buffy and Angel fans are going to love these two sharing the spotlight again.
Hellmouth #2 arrives in stores on November 13th, 2019.
