An intriguing sci-fi political thriller, Livewire #12 (Valiant Entertainment) heads towards a memorable conclusion with such swift direction. As a first-rate adrenaline kicker, readers are going to love everything comes full circle with this Livewire finale.
“Hero” reaches its thrilling endgame! With the whole country watching, Livewire is targeted by a trusted confidant, will she remain America’s Most Wanted? The climactic final chapter building since “Secret Weapons” and through “Harbinger Wars 2” is finally here!
Here are 5 reasons why you should get Livewire #12:
5) What Happened Before!
Wanted fugitive Livewire has been on the run for months from the authorities for shutting down the country’s power in an effort to protect people gifted with powers. Will a shocking offer from Senator John Wight and campaign manager, Gwen Goodman, to go public pull Livewire into a political spotlight?
4) The Writing!
Writer Vita Ayala does an impressive job examining how Livewire’s actions have consequences. Ayala delivers a hard-hitting monologue that explores whether or not sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. Letterer Saida Temofonte executes a well-devoted standoff between Livewire and Senator Wright, as they both attempt to justify their previous actions and rationalize their guilt.
3) The Artwork!
I love how artists Tana Ford and Bruno Oliveira illustrates the burden Livewire has to carry with an emotional performance. Posing in a western standoff, Wright and Livewire never look away from each other during their confrontation. Interestingly, the political ads and signs feel straight out of real life, from the recent debates for the upcoming presidency.
2) The Colors!
The vivid palette from colorists Kelly Fitzpatrick and Ruth Redmond captures the eye when law enforcement gets involved in the narrative. Notice how the backgrounds and the wardrobe are painted in blue shades. Then the green tones add to the cold and fertile atmosphere of Wright’s office.
1) A Satisfying Read!
Since its first issue, Livewire has done wonders, pushing its main protagonist to new heights. Every issue of the Livewire series has been a blast!
Livewire #12 arrives in stores November 6th, 2019.
