Adrienne Barbeau, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tobin Bell will star in the Stephen King story, “Gray Matter.” In “Gray Matter,” Doc and Chief, two old-timers in a small, dying town, brave a storm to check on Richie, an alcoholic single father, after encountering his terrified son at the local convenience store. The story, first published in 1973, is part of King’s best-selling 1978 collection, Night Shift.
Here are 5 reasons we’re excited for Creepshow:
5) Guess Who’s Back!?!
According to Bloody-Disgusting, the makeup artist extraordinaire talked about his upcoming episode to the crowd at Monsterpalooza 2019. If you remember your horror history, Savini was the makeup effects artist for the original movie. He also played the terrifying host, The Creep, in the sequel as well.
4) He’s Directing!
Savini revealed, “I just directed an episode of the Creepshow television series. There’s twelve [stories] altogether – each show will have two episodes in it. Mine’s a combination of Stand By Me, The Fog and Jurassic Park. It’s really something.”
3) Scary Things!
The From Dusk Till Dawn actor mentions, “It’ll be like the movie with comic book pages turning and boxes…scary things.”
2) Joe Hill!
Savini will be bringing to screen the Joe Hill story, “By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain.” Little Gail London and her friend, Joel Quarrel, are out on a cold and lonely morning at the end of summer. All of a sudden, they make the find of the century: a dead plesiosaur, the size of a two-ton truck, washed up on the sand. What else might be out there in the silver water of Lake Champlain?
