TNT continues Season 3 of their compelling crime drama, Animal Kingdom, starring Shawn Hatosy and Ellen Barkin, with Episode 4: Wolves. With Smurf (Barkin) behind bars, can her boys continue their living through armed robberies without her?
At the house, Mia (Sohvi Rodriguez) finally makes herself known to Deran (Jake Weary), Craig (Ben Robson), and Pope (Shawn Hatosy). None of the boys say a word until she leaves the room. Not only do they have pull off job, J (Finn Cole) has someone unknown crashing at their place.
At the prison, Smurf (Barkin) gets word that Detective Pearce (Gil Birmingham) is building a case against her. Does the detective have anything on her? Not yet, but Pearce cannot stall for more time and keep Smurf behind bars without hard proof.
After dropping off Lena (Aamya Deva Keroles) at school, Pope (Hatosy) catches up with the others for their next job. J lies to Pope about who Mia really is, but admits he’s cheating on Nicky. During the break-in, Pope makes his way underground while Deran stages a fake car crash.

Episode 304- “Broke From the Box”
Craig makes a call to 911 while stealing a garbage trunk. While the police have their hands full with a fake bank robbery, Pope and Craig leave with the safe. Turns out J worked out perfectly as planned, but the money they scored is actually going to pay the bills and Smurf’s protection in the prison.
Everything was going so well until the boy ended up crossing paths and sticking a gun at Billy (Denis Leary) and his lover, Frankie (Dichen Lachman). Meanwhile, Nicky (Molly Gordon) starts to follow Mia around, like a stalker. Turns out Mia does really work at an auto shop. After spotting Nicky, Mia takes her out for a drink.
At the bar, Mia gets all the info she needs from a drunk Nicky. She even warns Nicky that she’s way out of her league. Returning back to the house, Mia makes a call and tells her boss what she heard.
During her drunken binge, Mia ended up having a one-night stand with a random dude. She feels so guilty that she has to tell J what she did. Unable to get mad at her, because he’s sleeping with Mia, J takes out his frustration on his car.
Unable to deal with the return of his father, Deran gets a drink from Craig’s nurse. Smurf gets the news from J that Billy’s back. She screams at her, ordering him to get Billy out of the house.

After setting his naked girlfriend, Pope isn’t sure what to expect to from Billy.
