NBC has announced actress Archie Panjabi will return as Nas Kamal in an upcoming action-packed episode of Blindspot Season 3. What does this mean for Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) when a familiar face makes her way back?
As we previously mentioned, Blindspot follows Jane Doe (Alexander), who has no memory of who she is. Jane’s only clues are covered all her tattooed body. With the help of FBI agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his Critical Incident Response Group, Jane has to figure what the mysterious tattoos mean before a major disaster occurs.
[SPOILERS AHEAD] Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for Archie Panjabi’s return in Blindspot:
5) An “Exciting”Return!
According to Entertainment Weekly, creator/showrunner Martin Gero reveals, “We’re so elated to have the tremendous Archie Panjabi back for a very exciting one-off episode this year!” Gero continues, “I can’t say much about what will happen in the episode yet, but Nas will play a small but integral part in bringing down the bad guys this year.”
4) Will She Steal His Heart Again?
During the second season, Kurt and Nas had a sexy affair outside the FBI office. Did they manage to keep their relationship a secret? Does Jane know they were a couple? And if she didn’t, how will Kurt’s wife react?
3) Did Jane’s Mother Escape?
The last time we saw Nas was when she was holding Shepard (Michelle Hurd) as her prisoner. Shepard was locked up to a big and sci-fi looking device that was electrocuting and torturing her. Does Nas’ return mean Shepard has somehow escaped?
2) Will She Meet The New Big Bad?
The NSA operative had formed a mentor/protege bond with Patterson (Ashley Johnson). Does Patterson need to call in a favor with the new Big Bad? Will Nas show up because Roman (Luke Mitchell) has a dangerous and dark secret on her?
1) When Is She Back!?!
The Emmy-winning Good Wife actress will make her highly anticipated comeback in an episode slated for the second half of the third season.
Season 3 of Blindspot airs Friday at 8pm On NBC.
