With so much plot twists and action unfolding at a spectacular speed, NBC continues Blindspot Season 3 with Episode 6: Adoring Suspect. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
While Jane confronts the news she might be a mother, Tasha (Audrey Esparza) and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) have no luck in convincing Edgar Reade (Rob Brown) that a traitor is in their midst. Forced to bring in Weller, Patterson reveals that FBI Director Eleanor Hirst (Mary Stuart Masterson) is linked to Stuart’s murder. Jane believes Roman (Luke Mitchell)’s master plan is to bring down the FBI.
In a show within a show, Kurt is teaching an actor Keith Rhodes (Malcolm David Kelley) how to be real FBI agent. This is all part of a sting operation that Kurt is secretly planning. The production company is actually a front for a terrorist organization. Niko (Misha Kuznetsov) pays for Keith’s movies while bringing in his weapons of mass destruction.
After saving Keith from an assassination attempt, a gun prop gone horribly wrong, Kurt takes the actor back to headquarters. Richdotcom (Ennis Esmer) is so excited because he is Keith’s biggest fan. After Keith reveals what he knows about Niko, the missiles have already been brought to the Hollywood set.
Rich has to pretend to be a Hollywood hotshot with a blockbuster script in a sales pitch with Producer Booky Bentley (Paul F. Tompkins). With Patterson listening in, Rich gets Booky to reveal the code words to his secret vault. Knowing there is a guns deal taking place, Jane and Kurt rush in to stop Niko and his henchmen
During the ensuing battle, Rich ends up saving Keith after he gets caught in the crossfire. After Jane and Weller take down the henchmen, Rich blows up half the Hollywood set to save the day. Though they stopped Niko, this has all been a ploy set up by Roman. This was all a distraction to keep Jane from searching for her daughter.
Elsewhere in Barcelona, Roman continues to romance the auctioneer Blake Crawford (Tori Anderson). He bribes a criminal to rob them and pretend to grab Blake’s purse. Roman pretends to be Blake’s hero and ends up falling down a flight of stairs.
Seeing how he tried to protect her, Blake starts to fall for Roman’s charm. The fake thief though taunts Roman that he could reveal the truth about what really happened. Roman retaliates and murders the fake thief, stabbing him to death.
Reade keeps pushing with Eleanor, asking about her connections to previous cases. This time, Eleanor asserts her power, threatening to take his position away. If she helps him, Reade has a promising future ahead of him.
After his talk with Eleanor, Reade knocks on Kurt’s door and discovers the entire team at his apartment. Everyone, including Jane, are putting the clues and evidence together to bring down Eleanor.
Blindspot continues Fridays at 8m on NBC.
