Back from break with tons of plot twists and action, NBC continues Blindspot Season 3 with the return of an exiled character in Episode 13: Warning Shot. Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
While the return of Nas (Archie Panjabi) rocks everybody at the office, Tasha (Audrey Esparza) discovers what Reade (Rob Brown) has been hiding. Megan (Reshma Shetty) is an undocumented immigrant and Reade has been using his connections to grant her citizenship. Reade’s plans are put to a halt when Nas reveals a top-secret device has been stolen.
While Jane is trouble connecting with her daughter, Avery (Kristina Reyes), Patterson (Ashely Johnson) discovers the name of the hacker who stole the device. While digging up info on PopUpKid, the team ends up crossing paths with a 16-year-old kid poser. Nas just breaks him down with a glare and gets him to squeal.
Now working with the CIA, Nas has been keeping Zapata’s secret as well from Patterson. She better start talking about the Project Dragonfly or else. Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) makes a call to PopUpKid offering money and sets up a meet-and-greet at the Dark Party.
Things starts to get worse for Megan’s citizenship after Reade’s most trusted ally bails on him. The team starts heading out to the Dark Party, which takes place on a remote island. Also in attendance at the party, Sho Akhtar(Ajay Naidu) who still holds a grudge against Rich and the FBI team.
PopUpKid turns out to be a young girl named Delilah Dunny (Molly Bernard). She has an allergy to peanuts and starts hyperventilating. Jane ends up injecting Delilah with her medicine as the others whisk her away to another room.
Sho Akhtar and his henchmen end up in the same room with Nas. Thinking Nas is actually PopUpKid, he starts making the moves on her before discovering her true identity. Showing off her swift moves, Nas slides off the desk and gives his henchmen an epic beatdown.
At the party, Sho stabs Delilah’s friend and steals the device from him. Jane makes a run for Sho, tackles him, and steals back the device. Victory is cut shot as the team learns the device was a fake. Kurt realizes this was Nas’ play to gain leverage and get back to the NSA.
During the night, Jane has coffee with her daughter and tries small talk with Avery. Nas makes a call to Kurt and reveals the truth about Avery’s father. Reade doesn’t care if his girlfriend is undocumented; he still asks her to marry him.
Elsewhere, Roman (Luke Mitchell) pretends to be Blake Crawford (Tori Anderson)’s bodyguard during their high-stakes poker game. Unfortunately, the night ends with Blake being kidnapped and Roman chasing off after the speeding van; only to lose her.
Blindspot continues Fridays at 8m on NBC.
