Returning from hiatus, NBC delivers the action-packed Season 4 drama of Blindspot, Episode 9: Check Your Ed, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. After the shocking events of Season 3, will Kurt Weller (Stapleton) solve the mystery tattoos before its too late for Jane Doe (Alexander)?
When we last left them off, Zapata (Audrey Esparza) was in a Mexican standoff with Reade (Rob Brown) and Matthew. Remi ended up in a fight with Kurt and lost consciousness. With Remi down, Kurt Weller and his FBI team attempt to reverse the effects of Jane’s ZIP poisoning.
While Dr. Nancy Williams oversees the procedure, Jane is locked inside her own head with Remi. In the dream world, Jane find herself surrounded by darkness and naked. Flashing back to the pilot, Jane doesn’t realize who she is as she wakes up. She doesn’t even remember who her husband is.
Just when her vitals spike up, Kurt attempts to calm her down with a heart-to-heart conversation. All of a sudden, Jane recognizes the love of her life and her friends, including Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer). The team gives her enough clues to tell her where she’s supposed to go in her mind’s labyrinth.
During their final conversation, Jane apologizes to Roman for not protecting him better. Jane confesses that she truly misses him. Roman eventually softens, forgiving her for what happened between them. Not only does she have to let go of Roman, Jane has to let go of Kurt to confront Remi.
During her confrontation with Remi, Jane realizes they shouldn’t be fighting other. The real enemy is Shepherd, who robbed Remi and Jane of their innocent childhoods, turning them into monsters. As Shepherd holds innocent Alice hostage, Jane and Rem merge together.
Just when Shepherd disintegrates into dust, Jane wakes up as herself. As the FBI team searches for Shepherd’s whereabouts, Patterson wonders if Jane is truly back as herself. Shepherd though was actually waiting for Kurt to come back home.
Kurt is easily put down by Shepherd, but the two are surprised when gunshots are fired. Standing beside them, Jane is holding the smoking gun. Shepherd doesn’t stand a chance as Jane shoots her multiple times in the chest, killing her.
Just when Jane reunites with the rest of the team, Reade shows up with Zapata in handcuffs.
