HBO continues the critically acclaimed Watchmen, with Episode 4: If You Don’t Like My Story, Write Your Own, starring Regina King and Jeremy Irons. Based on the DC comics masterpiece by Alan Moore And Dave Gibbons, find out what happens in the alternate future where police officers band together against an impending apocalypse.
Lady Trieu (Hong Chau) meets with a couple proposing to buy the house and the rest of their property. She offers them a baby in order to get the deed to the land. After everything is signed on the dotted line, a ball of fire falls from the sky and hits the ground.
Back at her hideout, Sister Night gets rid of all of the evidence that points to her grandfather. At the museum, Sister Night learns more about her heritage when she hears a loud crash. Outside, Special Agent Laurie Blake (Jean Smart), the former Silk Spectre, laughs as Angela’s stolen car falls from the sky.
After checking the wreckage, Angela finds her grandfather’s pills. When Angela returns back home, the kids are sleeping with her father. Angela spends the night with Topher, who’s still afraid of the shooting that took place at Judd’s funeral.
During the morning, Sister Night dumps the rest of the evidence. Someone in costume has spotted her and makes a run for it. After a lengthy chase, the costumed runner douses himself in oil and slides into the sewers.
Knowing Laurie Blake is the new Chief, Angela hands over Judd’s KKK costume to Looking Glass (Tim Blake Nelson). Angela also wants Looking Glass to find out what medication her grandfather has been taking. While continuing her investigation, Angela finds out about Silk Spectre’s trauma from Laurie’s partner.
After interrogating her husband, Laurie continues to poke holes in Angela’s story. While investigating Lady Trieu, Laurie spots the statue of Ozymandias. Speaking in Vietnamese, Lady Trieu tells Angela that she has a message from her grandfather.
Elsewhere, Adrian Veidt (Irons) has already produced the clones of Mr. Philips (Tom Mison) and Ms. Crookshanks (Sara Vickers). Their purpose in life is help Adrian find a way out of his prison. With the catapult, Adrian is trying to find out how far he can escape.
Back at home, Angela starts to pick a fight with her husband, Calvin (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). During his interrogation, Calvin helped cover Angela’s story with even more lies. Calvin advises Angela to team-up with Laurie because they want the same thing.
Will Reeves (Louis Gossett Jr.) reveals to Lady Trieu that in three days, something bad is going to happens and his granddaughter will hate him for it,.
Watchmen continues Sundays on HBO at 9pm.
