Jam-packed with action and laugh-out-loud humor, Quantum + Woody! #8 (Valiant Entertainment) boasts a really wild adventure for the unpredictable odd couple. The Quantum + Woody series really does wonders with its two head-butting and charismatic protagonists!
Quantum and Woody just barely escaped from a surreal atomic realm…and, unfortunately, they’ve brought some pieces of it back with them! As dangerous new threats plunge their city even deeper into chaos, they’ll soon realize that they have bigger problems and bigger grudges than ever before – now if the brothers are anywhere near one another, their powers stop working!
Here are 5 reasons why you should get Quantum + Woody! #8:
5) What Happened Before…
NEW ARC! The world’s worst superhero team is going to have to go it alone as QUANTUM AND WOODY! #8 presents a super-powered stress test in… “SEPARATION ANXIETY!” On sale now for #NCBD! pic.twitter.com/gY3Tf9ISmJ

As we previously mentioned, Quantum and Woody found themselves separated. Living separate lives, Quantum is using his superpowers to save lives. Meanwhile, Woody enjoys hooking up with call girls before breaking down in front of his therapist. Their quantum bands aren’t working like they used to.
4) The Writing!
Writer Eliot Rahal throws Quantum and Woody into jail, forcing the duo to defend themselves without using any powers. Kicking things off, the two have their memories back, but there are things still amiss. With letterer Dave Sharpe adding to the quirkiness, the odd pair ask, which world are they in? If they are in another world, what followed them there?
3) The Artwork!
Who else loved Morning Glories?!? Artist Joe Eisma plays around with the horror genre in his illustrations. There’s a horror-esque scene of a skinless man walking around in broad daylight. The man wrapped in bandages is reminiscent of James Whale’s The Invisible Man.
2) The Colors!
Colorist Andrew Dalhouse has a new palette design for Quantum’s costume. Notice how the red and black hues are mixed together in Quantum’s costume. The superhero are always in the same shot; which is why Woody’s blue and white colors stand out.
