The past comes back to settle some debts as USA Network continues Season 7 with episode 12, Bad Man, of their popular lawyer drama, Suits, starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. The slick lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter, are back and ready to take on any court case.
During his mud bath, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) has a surprise sexual encounter with Sheila (Rachael Harris). Now that her name has been removed from the firm, Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) makes a call to Harvey (Macht) and demands money. Jessica is asking for $2 million in an untraceable account.
Accepting her demands, Harvey asks Louis for his counsel. Louis advises that they find a client, who not only has that amount of money, but who already has a secret account. Harvey hints that he knows someone two has both.
In a flashback, young Harvey (Tomaso Sanelli) meets his father’s idol, a record producer. The record producer allowed Harvey’s father and his jazz band to record their album in his studio. As Harvey grew older, he discovered the record producer was cooking the books and laundering money.
In the present, Harvey asks his father’s idol to retire and hand over the stolen money. To keep Harvey from revealing the truth, the record producer has to setup a secret account and launder in the two million. Harvey does this, even though it will mean his father’s saxophone music will never be heard from again.
Elsewhere, Mike finds himself crossing paths with Oliver (Jordan Johnson-Hinds). Even with help from Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle), Oliver manages to find Mike’s weak spot. Mike has to push harder during the case and ends up causing friction with Oliver.
In the past, young Harvey (Esteban Dager) discovered from his teen sister Ester (Sara Waisglass) that his girlfriend was cheating on him. At a party, Harvey confronts his girlfriend about the truth, but she just wants to sleep around. Ester beats the crap out of her classmate just before he’s about to make fun of her brother.
In the present, Harvey admits to Dr. Lipschitz (Ray Proscia) that he’s always wanted to be the bad boy. His high school crush used him because he was nice and clean; he wasn’t a bad boy. Dr. Lipschitz wants Louis to act like he truly is.
While Oliver and Mike make peace, Harvey tries once more to reconcile with Dr. Paula Agard (Christina Cole). Donna is a part of his life but Paula doesn’t have to be threatened by her. A different man now, Harvey made peace with his mother, all because of Paula.
Admitting who he is, Louis kisses Sheila, tells her that he’s not a bad boy; he’s a bad man.
Suits continues Wednesdays at 9pm on USA Network.
