Check out our 5 thoughts on The Walking Dead Season 8 Official Comic-Con Trailer:
5) Trapped Together!
During the Season 7 premiere, Negan continued his threats against Rick after brutally beating Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Ross Marquand), with his baseball bat, Lucille. And now, Negan has Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam) cornered in a tricky spot Is Grabriel trapped with Negan? Or do they need each other’s help to get out of their walker-infested situation?
4) The Bear!
The highlight of the trailer is the suspenseful music by composer Bear McCreary. In the beginning, we hear the drums tapping and building to a crescendo as the scenes play out. The footage ends with the “Prisoner’s Song” blasting away by the Dropkick Murphys.
3) All-Out War!
For the haters and trolls who said there wasn’t enough action last season, well this trailer was made for you. Morgan (Lennie James) leads his troops, who happen to be members of the Kingdom and Alexandra, across a hallway. Rick and Daryl (Normad Reedus) appear to be staking out the back of a building. Practically everybody in this trailer has a gun and an itchy trigger finger!
2) Old Man Rick?
After the title credits, the footage jumps-forward and we see Rick with white hair and a white beard. He has grown old and appears to have a walking stick by his bedside.
1) It’s A Wonderful Life!
So I guess Rick is going to be shown an alternate future where he was never born? Happened to Jimmy Stewart and Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That’s my theory anyway about what’s going on in those last moments.
Season 8 of The Walking Dead premieres October 22, 2017 on AMC.
