DC Universe presents the third mid-season finale of Young Justice, with the latest installment of Outsiders, in Episode 13: True Heroes, starring the voices of Jesse McCartney and Khary Payton. The superhero team is caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
With news on Tara, Nightwing debriefs Brion on what Beast Boy discovered. The VR Goggles take samples for meta-human DNA. The goggles brainwash the metas to trading posts. These posts are where meta-human trafficking takes place.
While Halo stays with Victor Stone, Nightwing leads the team to Greater Bialya to save Tara. The team stumbles upon an underground and illegal gladiator battle. Tara ends up losing the match and being sold to the highest bidder.
Disguised as a member of the Court of Owls, Nightwing and the others are able to win Tara during the auction. Far from the post, Geo-Force and Tara are finally reunited. Nightwing and the other go back to the post and find the other captured metas.
Meanwhile, Victor Stone has lost control and is brainwashed by the father box. Halo is unable to summon the Mother Box because her emotions are blocking her powers. Victor Stone stalks Halo around the house before she is able to summon the courage.
During the rescue of the kidnapped metas, Superboy meets his rival, Junior, once again. While they are beating each other up, Junior is happy to hear about Superboy’s engagement to Miss Martian. Junior wishes them a happy marriage before Superboy knocks him out.
Nightwing and the team are able to destroy the trading post, making a big damage to meta-trafficking. Upon their return to the Kent Farm, Halo is able to summon her powers ad save Victor from father box. Victor feels like a new man, with the father box gone from his mind and body.
Brion is very excited to introduce Tara to his girlfriend, Halo. Nightwing realizes that the team is getting bigger with the inclusion with Tara. But where does Victor fit in all this?
