Before the theatrical release date, Amazon Studios and K Period Media teases Dakota Johnson’s jaw-dropping dance in a new photo from Suspiria. Based on the cult masterpiece from Dario Argento, the star-studded cast includes Mia Goth, Tilda Swinton, and marks the return of the original starlet, Jessica Harper.
Darkness has been building at the center of a world-renowned dance company. Its artistic director (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe named Susie Bannion (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in director Luca Guadagnino’s bloody nightmare.
Here are 5 reasons why we love this new photo from Suspiria:
5) Sexy Dance!

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the official “Suspiria” Twitter account released the eye-popping image from the upcoming horror flick. In the photo, Johnson appears to be wearing a bright red and alluring outfit! She is surrounded by her scantily-clad dance team, who are also wearing the same provocative costume.
4) Give Your Soul!
The official “Suspiria” Twitter account states, “Give your soul to the dance.”
3) Entertainment Weekly!
The official “Suspiria” Twitter account also mentions, “(and make sure to pick up a copy of EW’s fall preview issue featuring this new Suspiria photo).” I can’t wait to get this issue! “Madame Blanc is a woman who is in a moment of conflict,” Guadagnino tells EW. “The conflict between art and magic is something that is seen in her face.”
3) Here Comes Venice!
As we previously mentioned, The Venice Film Festival has released its 2018 lineup of Oscar-bound flicks. In competition, Suspiria takes part as one of new entries that will vie for the Golden Lion at the Italian festival. Distributor Amazon will also be showing director Mike Leigh’s historical drama Peterloo.
1) The Running Time!
We also reported, Director Luca Guadagnino’s version will run 152 minutes. This cut is nearly a full hour longer than Argento’s 98-minute original.Tell you what, I’m a huge fan of Dakota Johnson and I can’t wait to see her performance!
Suspiria arrives in theaters on November 2nd, 2018. The Venice Film Festival runs Aug. 29 through Sept. 8.
