Amazon Studios and K Period Media present a unique vision of unbridled horror with the gleefully relentless Suspiria, starring Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton. Based on the cult masterpiece from Dario Argento, director Luca Guadagnino’s remake has crafted a dark and experimental thriller that will genuinely shock viewers.

Darkness has been building at the center of a world-renowned dance company. Its artistic director Madame Blanc (Swinton), a young American new to the troupe named Susie Bannion (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody nightmare.

Here are 5 reasons why you have to see Suspiria:

5) Dakota Johnson!

As Susie Bannion, Dakota Johnson has created a naive and engaging character that will instantly captivate viewers. Her charismatic performance will remain vividly in audience’s minds long after the film has ended. Exploring her range, Johnson completely dives into the character arc, particularly in the electrifying dance rehearsal sequences.

4) Mia Goth!

I came away quite surprised by Mia Goth, who delivers a standout performance as Sara. I was completely blown away by Goth’s subtle expressions. Always in a state of believability, Goth captures so much emotion especially during scenes of absolute horror.

3) The Amazing Supporting Cast!

Tilda Swinton delivers such a commanding performance as director Madame Blanc, viewers will be unable to take their eyes off of her. As Blanc, Swinton manages to be incredibly selfish, scheming, and murderously manipulative; all at the same time. Starting off the film’s narrative, Chloë Grace Moretz will instantly capture the audience’s attention right on.

2) The Throwbacks!

If you have seen the original, fans will love the hidden throwbacks in Guadagnino’s visual language. As a fan myself, I loved how both movies started off with the dance student arriving during a rainstorm. Just as Goblin transformed the original’s unique soundtrack, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke experiments with memorable piano ballads, mechanical beats, and atmospheric songs.

1) A Horror Masterpiece !

Similar to the original in all the right ways, Suspiria memorably stands out on its own as well. Aided by a knockout cast, this remarkable thriller, made of full-moon madness, will leave you with a long lasting impression.

Suspiria arrives in theaters on October 26, 2018 and opens wider on November 2nd, 2018.
