After staking the Fall 2019 season for the highly anticipated Season 2 premiere, DC UNIVERSE has added Iain Glen to the cast of Titans, starring Brenton Thwaites and Anna Diop. Check out who the Game of Thrones actor will play among the exciting slate of new characters who will pop up for the sophomore season.
A team of young superheroes led by Nightwing (formerly Batman’s first Robin) form to combat evil and other perils.
SPOILERS! Here are 5 reasons we’re excited for Season 2 of Titans:
5) Buce Wayne!
According to Deadline, Glen will be showing up as playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne. In the official character description, decades of fighting crime as Batman have driven Wayne to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.
4) Different Ways!
There are many ways for for Glen to play Bruce Wayne, the traumatized boy who never grew up after watching his parents murdered. Could Glen play the iconic role though Dick Grayson’s eyes, as an insufferable father. Or could Glen play it from Jason Todd (Curran Walters)’s perspective, an overprotective father who has good intentions at heart?
3) The Action!
Batman won’t go down without a fight! Jorah Mormont (Glen) fought with the Dothraki blood-rider, Qotho, during the first season. And who could forget Mormont taking down his other two opponents during the Meereen Arena!
2) That Cliffhanger!
In the first season finale, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) found himself seduced by the dark side in the alternate dimension. Trigon (Seamus Dever) has resurfaced as Rachel’s father and is intent on destroying as many planets as he can. Will Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) and Starfire (Anna Diop) arrive in time to save the former Robin?
1) The Newcomers!
Joshua Orpin has joined as Conner Kent (aka Superboy). Esai Morales plays the infamous Slade Wilson (aka Deathstroke). Chella Man will play Joseph Wilson (aka Jericho) and Chelsea Zhang will play Rose Wilson (aka the Ravager). And Curran Walters has been moved up to series regular as Jason Todd, the second Robin.
Season 2 of Titans premieres on DC Universe this Fall 2019.
