Universal Pictures Home Entertainment delivers the blockbuster comic book thriller, Glass, starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy, onto DVD and Blu-Ray. With tons of bonus material, writer/director M. Night Shyamalan reunites the cast of his popular films, Unbreakable, and Split, for the final chapter of his trilogy.
Following the conclusion of Split, David Dunn (Wills) pursues Kevin Wendell Crumb (McAvoy)’s superhuman figure of The Beast. During their series of escalating encounters, the shadowy presence of Elijah Price (Jackson) emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Here are 5 reasons you should get Glass on DVD:
5) The Trio!
So awesome to see Bruce Willis being part of a sequel he had been highly invested in for many years. Samuel L. Jackson delivers a highly chilling performance as criminal mastermind Mr. Glass. You can’t look away from the powerhouse performances by James McAvoy, who even caused Sarah Paulson to break from character in one particular take.
4) Spencer Treat Clark!
It’s quite remarkable to see how Spencer Treat Clark (Animal Kingdom) grew as an actor, as he reprised his role as David’s son, Joseph Dunn. Clark has such an admiration for Willis, and you see the genuine love in his performance. I’m glad Clark was able to return and that audiences were able to see him in a heart-breaking deleted scene from Unbreakable.
3) Anya Taylor-Joy!
Charismatic as always, Anya Taylor-Joy returns as Casey Cooke, who has developed as a character since the end of Split. Casey was always afraid of being touched in Spilt, due to a traumatizing event in her childhood. Notice how Casey (Joy) accepts being hugged by one of the kids in the foster home.
2) The Trilogy!
Glass is not a standalone, which is why you should have Unbreakable and Split in your collection. Exceptionally scripted and shot, writer/director M. Night Shyamalan delivers one pulse-pounding twist after another, connecting the characters to the very beginning. Shyamalan leaves audiences wanting more, which is what a great comic book does, as he delivers a satisfying conclusion.
