Sony Pictures has released the official teaser trailer to the highly anticipated Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, starring Margot Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt. Let’s watch how critically acclaimed writer/director Quentin Tarantino recreates the glitz, the glamor, and crime behind 1969.
Set in 1969 Los Angeles, Rick Dalton (DiCaprio),the former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt), are both struggling to survive in a Hollywood they no longer recognize. As they try to navigate their changing industry, Rick finds himself with an intriguing next-door neighbor – the beautiful Sharon Tate (Robbie), who is set to become Charles Manson’s most famous victim.
Here are 5 reasons why we love Once Upon A Time In Hollywood teaser trailer:
5) The Meta Humor!
The background actress, aka extra, tells Rick that his acting is the best she’s seen in her entire life. Remember in Inglorious Basterds, Aldo Raine (Pitt) says at the end, “I think this just might be my masterpiece.” Oh that Quentin Tarantino and his meta dialogue.
4) Bruce Lee!
Street Fighter: Assassins Fist actor Mike Moh is exceptional is his footage as Bruce Lee. The Taekwondo world championship winner can be seen showing off his fighting moves against Pitt’s Booth. Fun fact here, before Elseworlds, Bruce Lee fought Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) in the Batman/Green Hornet crossover.

Author Elmore Leonard created Raylan Givens, the federal marshall who won’t give up on taking down his fugitive. After playing Raylan and Boyd Crowder on Justified, Timothy Olyphant and Damon Herriman will be seen as James Stacey and Charles Manson. Tarantino adapted Leonard’s novel, Rum Punch, into Jackie Brown.
2) Luke Perry!
Tarantino’s ninth film will also be the last onscreen work by the late Luke Perry, who completed his scenes as Scott Lancer. According to Entertainment Weekly, DiCaprio paid tribute to his former costar in the film, “Luke Perry was a kindhearted and incredibly talented artist. It was an honor to be able to work with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his loved ones.”
