USA Network has announced the highly anticipated premiere dates for Suits final Season 9 and the upcoming Pearson for Summer 2019. Fans have been eagerly awaiting for the back-to-back combo between Gina Torres, Gabriel Macht, and Katherine Heigl.
As we previously mentioned, the spinoff will follow Jessica Pearson (Torres) as she adjusts to her new life in the Windy City. Jessica finds herself being forced to enter the dirty world of Chicago politics. Pearson must then rely on her legal wits and valiant relationships from Pearson Specter Litt to navigate this unknown territory.
SPOILERS! Make sure you catch up on our recaps! Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for Pearson and Suits:
5) Summer Team-up!
According to TVLine, Suits and its spinoff Pearson are teaming up this July summer: The ninth and final season of Suits take place across 10 episodes. Suits will then lead up to the debut of the new USA drama at 10 pm.
4) That Ending!
During the Season 8 finale, after being cleared of all wrongdoing in the ethics hearing, Harvey (Macht) raced on over to Donna’s apartment. Harvey and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) had their hands all over each other, stripping their clothes off, as they passionately make love.
3) Forced Retirement!
Not only did that happen, Robert Zane (Wendall Pierce) paid the price for taking on Daniel Hardman (David Costabile) and took one for the team, losing his license in the aftermath. How will Samantha Wheeler (Heigl) deal with losing her mentor in the upcoming ninth and final season?
2) The Backdoor Pilot!
During the seventh season finale, Jessica Pearson (Torres) set foot in Chicago to reunite with her long-lost family. She was also taking on a crooked politician and a shady real estate developer. Pearson’s first season will also span 10 episodes.
1) The Pearson Cast!
From what we know so far, Chantel Riley will play Angela Cook, the certified Nursing Assistant and Jessica’s cousin. Isabel Arraiza will play Yoli Castillo, Jessica’s passionate assistant. Eli Goree plays as Derrick Mayes, Mayor Bobby Golec’s young press secretary and a former journalist. Prosecutor Keri Allen, the unofficial right hand to the mayor, will be played by Joy Lenz.
Pearson and the final season of Suits will premiere on Wednesday, July 17 starting at 9pm on USA Network.

I’m loving that Donna and Harvey finally got together. I knew they would save it for the last season but I guess that’s a good thing.
