Airing the final chapter of its two-hour season finale, USA Network continues Season 7 with episode 16, Good-bye, of their popular lawyer drama, Suits, starring Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht. The slick lawyers Mike Ross and Harvey Specter, are back and ready to take on any court case.
In the streets, Louis Litt confronts Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) about saving the firm. As Louis gets shut down, Harvey (Macht) is threatened at the airport in Chicago. In a flashback, young Jessica learns from her father that she is at war with the world.
Elsewhere. at her home with Jeff (D. B. Woodside), Jessica is getting dressed for her hearing. She knows Jeff is looking out for her, but she needs to fight against the city of Chicago. While Mike is in court, Louis and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) get unexpected help from Alex (Dulé Hill).
Mike and Rachel (Megan Markle) end up working together on proving obstruction. Back in Chicago, Louis and Harvey meet with the judge, arguing with the prosecutor Keri Allen (Rebecca Rittenhouse). Alex then orders his old boss to help him with his lawsuit.
While Jessica appears to be at odds with Keri, she also gets shut down by real estate developer. In the projects, Harvey meets with the witness and helps her prepare for court. Louis argues with Stanley Gordon after his deal is rejected.
Unfortunately, Mike’s plans continue to backfire. Oliver (Jordan Johnson-Hinds) mentions the evidence has been tampered and Rachel cannot find any illegal connections. During court, Keri manages to make a fool of Harvey and points out the witness is actually Jessica’s aunt.
Shut out from the case, Jessica reveals her father was poor; she didn’t always live in Park Avenue. Jessica is making up for her father, who abandoned his family. Following Jessica’s plan, Harvey offers a check to a client, who can pay her way up Chicago’s political system.
Alex thinks he can save the firm if Louis makes him managing partner. Jessica meets with Angela, he relative, and doubts she wants to reconnect with her family. A bad night overall, Jessica argues with Keri and gets threatened afterwards.
Ditching his case, Mike ends up helping out Louis with his backup plan. Mike asks Robert to join his firm. Back at home, Rachel asks Mike to reconsider his job offer to Seattle. He is tired of waiting and pushes forward their wedding.
Just when Louis is about to sign, Robert saves the day as the firm’s new partner. Jessica will stick around in Chicago to take care of her family. While Mike wins in court, Jessica blackmails her way into meeting with Mayor Bobby Golec (Morgan Spector). Offering to take care of her family, The Mayor hires Jessica to clean up his dirty work.
Everyone who loves them shows up at Mike and Rachel’s wedding. As Mike says his good-bye to Harvey, Jessica tells Jeff that she is taking the Mayor’s job offer. While everyone dances, Jeff leaves Jessica as she wages a war against a crooked politician and a shady real estate developer.
Suits will return for Season 8 in July.
