Here are 5 reasons why you should get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #82:

Kingdom of Rats presented the return of the Rat King. Though there is a rift between them, Leonardo and Splinter had a frightening prophecy of the Rat King’s sinister plan. Unfortunately, the Turtles were pulled away on another mission.
4) The Kingdom Of Rats!
From a story by Kevin Eastman and Bobby Curnow, writer Tom Waltz opens up with a laugh-out-loud action sequence that involves the Turtles and Toad Baron’s minions. Shawn Lee’s lettering adds to the slapsticky and animated scene with Mikey’ s witty humor. As the Turtles gain knowledge about their enemy’s family history, Rat King has taken a step further in his terrifying plans.
3) The Artwork!
Artist Dave Watcher delivers a subtly emotional sequence that involves Splinter and his new protege, Jennika. With both characters in the same scene, notice how Splinter has to act as a teacher and a parent. It’s really different now that Splinter acts as a surrogate father to a daughter.
2) The Colors!
Notice how colorist Ronda Pattison highlights the blue and purple tones in the city’s nighttime sky. The green shades of the turtles’ skin stand out in the light brownish backgrounds.
