In the first installment of Supernatural Dreams, the Allan family are struggling to adjust to the new status quo. With their father thinking of retiring, Dante and Vivian are next in line to continue their monster hunting business. Either that or get a real 9 to 5 job!
4) A Dysfunctional Undead Family!
Writer Steve Niles puts his antagonist, the mysterious Goatman, in the forefront. The Goatman has hellish power that the Allan family has never seen before. More than just sibling rivalry, Dante and Vivian either they have to accept they can do this job. Or they are in way over their heads!
3) The Artwork!
Artist Damien Worm has such a sketchy and surreal character design for The Goatman. With his black suit, the Goatman looks like a slick hit-man rather than a frightening creature from Hell. In a shocking one-pager, notice how Goatman stands at the center after attacking a nearby church.
2) The Colors!
I love Worm’s use of the purple tones in the climax. Notice how the green stands in the following pages when Vivian and Dante show up to do battle.

After introducing its engaging characters, The October Faction: Supernatural Dreams #2 thrusts its ensemble cast into danger. A fun read from start to finish, I can’t wait to see what happens next in October Faction!
