Gravitas Ventures presents the action-packed zombie thriller, Bride of the Doomed, starring Robert LaSardo, Michael Pare, and Kate Watson. Director Michael Su delivers the military action while tackling the social class thread.
The Plot: A group of soldiers are ordered to hold a bridge during a zombie outbreak, but what lives underneath the bridge, proves to be even more deadly.
Here are 5 reasons why you should watch Bridge of the Doomed:
5) Kate Watson!
Kate Watson does a phenomenal job as the conflicted but stoic Sgt. Hernandez. Watson externalizes Hernandez’s inner struggles as she attempts to follow her orders while establishing order among lost civilians. Watson knows when to switch and display Hernandez’s tough and vulnerable sides.
4) Robert LaSardo!
Robert LaSardo is such a welcome presence in the film as General Vasquez. He has mostly appeared in previous projects as bad guys, like in Death Race and Nip/Tuck. LaSardo’s performance feels grounded and authentic since he served four years in the U.S. Navy.
3) The Themes!
When a filmmaker makes a zombie movie, it’s important to follow the rules established by George A. Romero. These narratives are supposed to serve as allegories for the failures of authority, social institutions, and the breakdown of community. Writer Adrian Milnes explores these social themes throughout the feature.
2) The Direction!
Director Michael Su is able to capture the adrenaline-pumping horror action and highlight the thought-provoking social commentary. To keep the audience engaged with the narrative, Su jumps back and forth between the perspectives of the soldiers and the civilians.

Bridge of the Doomed delivers the right combination of zombie effects and social critique. Horror fans will discover an interesting concept through the undead.
