Teasing even bigger stunts, Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer to the their upcoming action/spy film, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, starring Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill. After helming Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) McQuarrie has returned as this installment’s screenwriter/director.
Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, find themselves in a race against time after a mission goes wrong. This is It is the sixth installment in the blockbuster Mission: Impossible film series.
Here are 5 reasons why we love Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill going at it in Mission: Impossible – Fallout:
5) The Sequel!
Interestingly, I don’t think fans have realized the Mission: Impossible series has been sneakily building a mythology. From Rogue Nation, Rebecca Ferguson is back as Illsa and Sean Harris has returned as the notorious Solomon Lane, the leader of the terrorist organization, The Syndicate. We also have familiar faces coming back as well, such as Michelle Monaghan (Julie) and Ving Rhames (Luther).
4) The Boss Queen!
Walking onto the set like the queen she is, Angela Bassett (Black Panther) has to clean up the mess the IMF Team made. Ethan Hunt screwed up so badly; he allowed the escape of prisoner, Solomon Lane. She’s such a badass, even Secretary Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin) is afraid of her.
3) Ethan Hunt Vs Superman!
At first, I thought Henry Cavill’s August Walker was a stand-in for Jeremy Renner’s William Brandt. But I don’t think that’s the case. Walker has orders to hunt down and kill Ethan Hunt if he goes rogue.
2) Run Tom Run!
Not only does Ethan Hunt (Cruise) has to run faster than Walker (Cavill), he also has to outwit Illsa (Ferguson) too. Illsa appears to have her own orders to bring in Ethan dead or alive.
1) The Biggest Stunt Ever!
My favorite scene in Rogue Nation was when Hunt held on tightly to the side of the flying plane. I kinda dug the scene here Ethan is confined to his hair as the helicopter comes crashing down on him.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout hits theaters on July 27, 2018.
