The storyline jumps to various arcs, keeping the narrative fast-paced. At first, viewers will find themselves in a procedural as Yancy Fuqua and Deon Hunt as Detectives Booker and Parker. Then, the narrative jumps into the victim’s POV as she struggles with her trauma.

Director Harley Wallen understood Natalie is the heart and soul of the movie. Natalie needs to be sympathetic, unsure, terrified, vulnerable and withdrawn – all at once. She needed to be a compelling character, with a knockout performance from a capable actress to boot.
