Amazon Prime Video delivers all the action, thrills, and drama in the highly anticipated Season 2 official trailer to Absentia, starring and executive produced by Stana Katic. Check out what’s in store for viewers when FBI agent Emily Byrne (Katic) returns after the critically acclaimed first season.

After tracking down and killing her abductor, Emily struggles to define her new normal as a mother and a survivor of six years of physical and mental torture. Even while she rebuilds her relationship with her son, Emily still cannot shake the darkness of her past. She enlists Boston police detective Tommy Gibbs (Angel Bonanni) in a secret investigation of her mysterious history. When the case turns deadly, she risks everything to uncover the truth and protect her family.

Here are 5 reasons we love the official trailer to Absentia Season 2:

5) Stana Katic!

After seeing such a charismatic lead on Castle, I was truly blown away by Stana Katic on Absentia. The show is perfectly tuned to Katic’s many talents and explores her range. Knowing that Katic also serves as executive producer, I’m really expecting the sophomore season to up the ante!

4) That Dress!

FBI agent Emily Byrne (Katic) is wearing a fancy, elegant, and sparkly dress in the footage. Did she just beat up guy while wearing high heels? Damn right she did! She just rammed that guys’ head into the wall!

3) That Song!

That song you hear in the background is “Walk All Over Me” by Cut One & Kyle Sons.

2) The Ensemble!

The ensemble cast includes Patrick Heusinger, Cara Theobold, Neil Jackson, Angel Bonanni, Paul Freeman, and Patrick McAuley.

1) The Newbies!

Matthew Le Nevez and Natasha Little are joining the cast! Le Nevez will play Cal Isaac, a rugged ex-Navy SEAL. Little has joined the cast as Julianne Gunnarsen, a chilly FBI agent brought to the Boston Field Office to help capture the perpetrator of a deadly terrorist attack.

Season 2 of Absentia premieres on Amazon Prime June 14th, 2019.
