Baylock Residence, Wild Eye

Wild Eye Releasing presents a spine-tingling haunted house flick with gothic ingredients in The Baylock Residence, starring Kelly Goudie, Sarah Wynne Kordas, and Lindsay Foster. With a solid lead, writer/director/editor Anthony M. Winson is able to dive right into the classic setting and deliver the jump scares.

After the death of her sister, Patricia (Kelly Goudie) inherits her family’s estate and soon discovers that something or someone has been haunting the home for decades and harbors a disturbing family secret that she must uncover.

Here are 5 reasons why you should watch The Baylock Residence:

5) Kelly Goudie!

The Baylock Residence

As Patricia, Kelly Goudie carries the lead performance with such tremendous energy and charisma. The hauntings inside the creepy mansion start to turn Patricia (Goudie) mad with paranoia and fear. Demonstrating the character arc, Gouide has to be overly suspicious, doubtful, and insecure as the scares break her mentally.

4) Sarah Wynne Kordas!

In the opening sequence, Sarah Wynne Kordas sets up the creeping tone as the exhausted and hardworking servant, Annabel Blair. Kordas has an engaging chemistry with Goudie as her character, Annabel, shares foreboding scenes with Patricia.

3) The Haunted Mansion!

The Baylock Residence

The cinematography does a fantastic job making the haunted mansion feel alive. The camera captures so much details within the walls, rooms, and basement. Along with the vibrant costumes, the gothic setting brings in an elegant and classy look that takes viewers back in time.

2) The Direction!

While controlling the pace as editor, writer/director Anthony M. Winson perfectly times the jump scares to Goudie’s performance. My favorite scare is when the doors open and close by themselves, which drives Patricia to scream her lungs out.

1) A Spooky Flick!

The Baylock Residence works both as a period piece and haunted house flick. If you’re looking for a spooky ghost story, you’ve got one right here.

The Baylock Residence arrives on VOD and DVD September 17th, 2019.
