Epic Pictures and Dread present the impressively exhilarating creature flick, Hoax, starring Ben Browder and Cheryl Texiera. Co-writer/director Matt Allen does a fantastic job delivering the sly humor and the pulse-pounding suspense.
An investigative team travels deep into the remote Colorado wilderness after a group of young campers are viciously murdered by what may be Bigfoot. While the highly specialized crew searches for evidence, they find themselves in a fight for survival against the legendary beast. What they encounter turns out to be more unexpected and dangerous than anything they could have ever imagined.
Here are 5 reasons why you should see Hoax:
5) Ben Browder!
As a huge fan of Farscape, I couldn’t wait to see Ben Browder as the scheming Rick Paxton. You can absolutely tell Browder is having tremendous fun playing the sleazy and sarcastic Paxton. Rick (Browder) claims he wants to find evidence of Bigfoot, but he’s always thinking of his get-rich-quick schemes.
4) Cheryl Texiera!
With such a vibrant personality, Cheryl Texiera stands out as the quick-thinking and feisty Dr. Ellen Freese. Texiera dominates her scenes thanks to her strong-willed and determined character. When danger arises, Ellen (Texiera) gets the chance to show off her medical skills.
3) Adrienne Barbeau!
If you love The Fog and Escape From New York, then you have to see Adrienne Barbeau as Wilma. Full of wit and charm, Barbeau does a fantastic job setting up the tone of the movie. Viewers will instantly be engaged by Babeau’s chemistry with Texiera.
2) The Direction!
Director Matt Allen and co-writer Scott Park have filled the screen with interesting characters. The film kickstarts with a fast-paced and memorable opening, led by Máire Higgins and Ryan Lee. Scott Park’s cinematography of the woods and Allen’s kill scenes are enhanced to new heights by the riveting music of Alan Howarth.
1) It’s A Nail-Biter!
There’s definitely a lot to enjoy with Hoax, especially with the easy interplay between the ensemble. Horror fans will definitely be satisfied with Hoax.
Hoax will be available on VOD & Blu-Ray on August 20th, 2019.
