5) Samantha Schnitzler!
Samantha Schnitzler is quite engaging to watch as Ren Reid. With the character fleshed out by her flashback, Schnitzler is able to push forward as a leading protagonist. Loved seeing Schnitzler capture the serious tone and set up the action.
4) Phoebe Robinson-Galvin!
Phoebe Robinson-Galvin delivers the toughness and hard-boiled attitude as the antagonist, Ker. I was absolutely cheering when Ker unleashed her swords. The most thrilling action sequences take place when Ker (Galvin) shows up.
3) Mike Beckingham!
Mike Beckingham delivers the witty humor as the everyman Sam. Beckingham presents Sam as someone who’s in over his head but he’s never foolish. I thought it was hilarious that the quirky character gets one of the best action scenes.
2) The Direction!
With an interesting concept, writer/director Tom Paton captures a fast-paced narrative with a fun mix of action and sci-fi. The editing cranks up the adrenaline when the fast-paced action sets in. The camerawork by George Burt flows cohesively as the narrative jumps from one character to another.
