Before The Flash returns from break on The CW Network, superstar Candice Patton, also known as Iris West, joins the Fangirling conversation on the interactive streaming platform, Alpha. With The Flash renewed for a fifth season, Patton definitely represents strong ladies in entertainment.
As we previously mentioned, the fourth season started with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) breaking out of the Speed Force. Victory against the God of Speed known as Savitar came with a price as Barry was forced to leave his fiancée Iris West (Patton). Now that Barry and Iris are reunited, they face a deadlier enemy known as DeVoe aka The Thinker.
[SPOILERS Ahead] Here are 5 reasons you should watch Candice Patton on Fangirling:
5) Fangirling!
All about female empowerment, Fangirling is a must-see lifestyle/talk show hybrid series that talks the talk and walks the walk. Each week, host Alicia Lutes (Nerdist Managing Editor) and her rotating panel have a cultural conversation while recapping the news of the week. Their latest episode features The Flash starlet discussing diversity and finding the right someone.
4) Purple Rain!
In the sixteenth episode, Run Iris Run, Iris (Patton) unexpectedly found herself with newfound super-speed powers. With the scarlet speedster missing in action, Iris takes it upon herself to save Central City. She ends up wearing a purple costume that looked like something Prince would’ve worn.
3) The Impact!
Patton tells Lutes, “The impact is not lost on me, that’s for sure. We have an interracial relationship on the show and that’s not questioned.”
2) Did Someone Say Free!?!

While those two clash, Breacher (Danny Trejo) returns to ask Cisco (Carlos Valdes) for a favor.
