Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond #1:
5) The History!
Two theatrical versions of The Beyond were released in America. Back in 1998, when Quentin Tarantino teamed up with Grindhouse Releasing, audiences were able to view Fulci’s original vision. At the drive-in theaters and on VHS, back in 1981, The Beyond was distributed under the alternate title, 7 Doors of Death.
4) The Music!
Eibon Press tracked down the original master tapes of the alternate film score and struck a deal with the composers. This all-new soundtrack album will be on CD, re-mastered and presented with bonus tracks. The special album will be available with every edition of Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond #1, complete with a dust-sleeve, featuring an all-new cover painting by artist Pat Carbajal.
3) The Eibon Sleeves!
Each sleeve for the 4-part series will be an instant collector’s edition. Each issue comes in three editions — the standard sleeved edition, the signature edition (signed by writer Stephan Romano), and the special Psycho Fan Package,
2) The Psycho Edition!
The Psycho Edition for The Beyond #1 is limited to 100 sets and comes with four alternate covers. With 100 of this variant created, the 7 Doors of Death alternate cover celebrates the 1981 version of the film. Plus, readers will also get a free hand-screened The Beyond T-shirt and a cool limited edition enamel pin.
