On the right side of history, Devil’s Due Publishing takes on the establishment with Alexandria  Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force. A rising star in the political realm, a superhero in her own right, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes the leap from Congress onto the pages of a comic book.

It’s  Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the “Freshman Force” of Congress vs. the establishment in this all new commemorative comic! Comic creators converge to celebrate the election of the most diverse group of freshman congresspersons in history, and spare no-one in this satire that takes aim at Washington.

Here are 5 reasons why we’re excited for Alexandria  Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force:

5) The Creators!

The All-Star Creative Team includes Josh Blaylock, Tim Seeley, Hoyt Silva, Marguerite Dabaie, Dean Haspiel, Jill Thompson, Jose Garibaldi, Christa Cassano, Travis Hymel, Pat Shand, K. Lynn Smith, Kit Caoagas, Larry Watts, Bob Sikoryak, Adam McGovern, Nick Accardi, Shawn DePasquale, Elizabeth Marley Kim, Jason Goungor, Sherard Jackson, Peter Rostovsky, Jeffrey Burandt, and Sean Von Gorman.

4) There’s No One Like Her!

Devil’s Due Comics publisher and founder Josh Blaylock tells Forbes, “There has never been such an energy seen for a candidate at the legislative level before, not even when President Obama was first being elected to the Senate—and I’m saying that as a Chicagoan, and someone who published a comic about him.”

3) Two Editions!

Each edition comes with a different cover by Blaylock and Tim Seeley. One cover is entitled as the “Washington Warrior Collector Variant.” In addition to stores, the politically inspired comic is also available online on Devil’s Due’s website in digital and physical editions, including signed copies, and will be available for Kindle via comiXology.

2) Adds Salt To A Comatose System!

Blaylock adds, “I think it’s fair to say that to everyone involved, part of this is about celebrating that we finally feel this is a legislative body that represents us as a whole. I find it ironic that much of the new freshmen legislators are seen as idealistic, when what’s really happening is that they’re coming in as a jolt of smelling salts to a comatose system.”

1) To Charity!

Partial proceeds will be donated to Military Veterans’ charity and to raices.org:
