With new alliances being formed, AMC continues Into The Badlands with Episode 5: Carry Tiger to Mountain, starring Daniel Wu and Emily Beecham. Get ready for the visually striking fight sequences that action junkies already love about this show!
As Nathaniel Moon (Sherman Augustus) returns to The Widow (Beecham), MK (Aramis Knight) wakes up and finds Nix (Ella-Rae Smith) next to him. MK feels himself drained when Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) takes away his dark powers. Knowing he needs his wound to heal first, MK tells Pilgrim he has to move on and kill the man who murdered his mother.
Locked in a cage, Gaius (Lewis Tan) reminds the Widow they knew each other when they were kids. They share a special bond with each other. He helped her escape the pig pen and left his father’s dagger for her to find. Lydia (Orla Brady) advises the Widow to use Gaius in the war against his sister.
Out in the snowy fields, Bajie (Nick Frost) and Sunny (Wu) have finally arrived to find the Mad Witch. Sunny and Bajie watch as she drowns his son deep into the hot bath, releasing the hot energy. The Mad Witch was only able to find a temporary solution for Sunny’s baby.
The Mad Witch reveals the only person who can save Sunny’s child is Pilgrim. She also mentions Bajie had sent out a message to Pilgrim. Bajie’s message will bring about chaos and disorder for years to come.
Feeling unwanted by Pilgrim, Castor (Dean-Charles Chapman) almost starts a fight with MK. To prove himself, Castor takes up the cause to round up 1,0000 workers at the refugee camp. Leading the raid, Castor and Otto are just miles away when the Widow gets word about the upcoming attack.
When Tilda (Ally Ioannides) and Odessa (Maddison Jaizani) kiss, that’s when the raid starts at the refugee camp. Tilda suddenly finds herself outmatched by Castor. Luckily, Odessa teams up with Nathaniel and Gaius as the Widow takes up the battle with Castor.
In an unexpected turn of events, Otto makes a run for it. After being captured, Castor warns everyone that Pilgrim will come for him. The Widow then knocks him out unconscious with her boot.
Bajie feels responsible for sending out the signal. He’s not fond of the whole “bringing disorder and chaos thing.” He will continue to stay with Sunny as they make their way back to the badlands.
Foreseeing a prophecy, Cressida (Lorraine Toussaint) starts marking a wall with blood. Realizing Sunny is on the way, MK is forbidden by Pilgrim to go near him. Pilgrim and Sunny are destined to meet.
The Catalyst is coming.
Season 3 of Into the Badlands continues Sundays at 10pm on AMC.
