At the precinct, Henderson tries to keep Lynn (Christine Adams) strong. Instead of fighting them and proving their suspicions, Gambi and Anissa have to prove to the ASA that Jefferson isn’t Black Lightning.Doing his job, Henderson makes connections to Jefferson’s history with the 100 and Lala.

As news breaks about Jefferson’s arrest, the citizens of Freedomland are divided over whether the turn of events holds any truth. Henderson reveals to Lynn that National Security has taken over the case. With the stakes raised, Gambi and Anisssa have to speed up their work on a dangerous prototype.

Lynn explains to Jennifer that superpowers cannot solver everything. Jennifer bursts into tears, worrying that her father will never come home. With the ASA approaching, Henderson wants to help Jefferson, even though his best friend is withholding the truth. Still doing his job, Henderson finds the hidden money and gets the corrupt cop to squeal.

Enacting their plan using holograms, Thunder and Black Lightning run across the streets as everyone stares. The crowd cheers and applaud Thunder and Black Lightning chasing after the speeding van. Though Kara tries to work against her bosses, they won’t listen to her.

While Jefferson is being released, Henderson arrests the dirty cop. Jefferson returns home to his family and embraces them. Jefferson welcomes Gambi back to his home and asks to his help to find the kidnapped children.

Henderson announces himself as Deputy Chief when the Pierce family eat pizza with a reunited Gambi.
