Blindspot Season 3 follows Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) as they continue to solve the mystery tattoos. NBC has renewed the action-packed drama before the highly anticipated second season finale.
According to TV Line, NBC has renewed the drama for a third season, just before their upfront presentation. The series follows Jane Doe (Alexander), who no memory of who she is, Jane’s only clues are covered all her body. With the help of FBI agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his Critical Incident Response Group, Jane has to figure what the mysterious tattoos mean before Sandstorm completes their mission.
Here are 5 reasons why we love Blindspot being renewed:
5. The Show Packs Ton Of Action And Drama!
The ensemble cast know how to deliver an emotional punch. Patterson (Ashley Johnson) sought revenge after Robert Borden (Ukweli Roach) broke her heart and revealed he was the mole. Nas (Archie Panjabi) had her tragic romance with Weller. Plus Jane manager to still kick butt even while being handcuffed.
4. The Rogue Gallery Is Growing!
The show packs tons of energy and fun when the team’s arch-nemesis Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) shows up. The second season also introduced audiences to super-villain Kiva Garen (Jewel Staite). I don’t think I’m the only fan who wants Rich and Kiva to team-up!
3. Tasha Zapata Kicks Butt!
Let’s be honest here. The season has been dragging when the story forced a relationship between Tasha (Audrey Esparza) and Edgar Reade (Rob Brown). Sorry, not sorry! But Tasha stole the show when she had her own prison break with guest star, UFC bantamweight Ronda Rousey. In Words, Drown, Esparza demonstrated she can kick butt too alongside the mixed martial artist.
2. A Great Addition To The Cast!
Luke Mitchell joined the second season as Jane’s long lost brother, Roman. Mitchell has done a fantastic job playing both as Jane’s ally and enemy. Crossing our fingers and hoping creator/showrunner Martin Gero keeps Roman around for another season!
1. We’re Finally Getting Answers!
Before the season finale, in the penultimate episode entitled Mom, viewers discovered what Sandstorm has been planning for Phase Two and Kurt Weller’s significant role. Weller realized the important figureheads, including himself, have been locked away in an underground bunker, while Sandstorm dismantles the government on the outside. Shepard (Michelle Hurd) close in line to victory after all!
The season 2 finale of Blindspot airs May 17, 2017.
