Returning from break, NBC continues the intense action and drama of Blindspot Season 3 with Episode 18: Clamorous Night, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. Jane Doe (Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
Now joining Hank Crawford (David Morse)’s side, Roman (Luke Mitchell) hires a group of assigns to take out the FBI team. Roman has to keep Hank and Blake in the safe house while trouble goes down. Back at the FBI headquarters, Patterson (Ashley Johnson) thinks she knows where Roman has taken the Crawford family.
From Jane’s POV, Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) mentions the investigation is moving slowly, with Reade (Rob Brown) calling for a break. Kurt and Jane are forced to go out on a dinner date thanks to Rich. At the fancy restaurant, Kurt and Jane have a calming moment until she notices they are being followed. After hearing a gunshot, Jane gets kidnapped and find herself tied up.
From Reade’s POV, Rich admits he has problems with the internal investigation. Reade doesn’t want Rich snooping around as he meets with the investigator. With his engagement with Meg also being investigated, Reade argues he’s being blamed for Hirst and the FBI needs a scapegoat. Back at his apartment, the investigator follows him up to his place and reveals he is being suspended. Just when he gets a call about Zapata, the assassin strikes, stabbing the investigator, and attacks Reade.
From Zapata’s POV, Tasha (Audrey Esparza) finds herself blocked by Rich. He offers her a pizza box and walks away. Tasha ends up going to a mass service when Roman gets a text. During the mass, Tasha meets with the victim’s sister, Alexis, when she spots a suspicious church-goer.
Zapata remembers Alexis’ brother and apologizes for leaving him during his dark place. A shootout starts in the church as Zapata fires back. With the sniper taken down, Raede ends up stabbing the assassin. Zapata is on the run when Patteron’s apartment explodes.
From Patterson’s POV, Rich notices she is getting ready for her first date with Jack from Forensics. During the date, Patterson gets splattered with goop. Jack and Patterson end up being shot at by an armored assassin. After causing the explosion, Zapata saves Patterson and shoots the assassin dead.
From Kurt’s POV, after fighting with the waiter, Kurt states him with a poisoned pen. Too late to save Jane, the rest of the FBI team investigate their assassins. Rich hacks into an Instagram account and gets the face of Jane’s stalker. After breaking free, Jane fights her kidnappers when the team arrives.
With a bullseye on their backs, the FBI gets back to work on Crawford. Rich stole the letter of Reade’s suspension from the investigator. After breaking up with Jack, Patterson holds back from making peace with Tasha.
After Jane realizes she might have to kill her brother, Roman sets up a bloodier next step.
