As the manhunt for Roman intensifies, NBC continues the action and drama of Blindspot Season 3 with Episode 20: Let It Go, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. Jane Doe (Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.

With the sonic weapon destroyed, Roman (Luke Mitchell) needs 12 hours for his Plan B to work. Back at their apartment, Reade (Rob Brown) and Megan (Reshma Shetty) are talking about their upcoming wedding. At the same time, Jane and Kurt end up having an argument with Avery (Kristina Reyes).

At FBI headquarters, Patterson (Ashley Johnson) has been unable to fix the tattoo database, which is why Reade asks her to bring in her father. Patterson then discovers Avery’s father did not commit suicide; he was buried and dumped underwater. Jane and Patterson find a key inside his dead body, which points to a hit-man named Charon.

In the search for Charon, Patterson wants Tasha (Audrey Esparza) to stay behind and look for CIA files. Jane then tells Avery the truth; she’s thinking about bringing Crawford down. Tasha tells Megan that she’s not going to her wedding and ditches her.

Patterson’s father, Bill Nye, shows up at her lab. Kurt even laughs at Bill Nye’s dad jokes. Using condensation as a metaphor, Patterson makes a breakthrough and gets a location. Elsewhere, Megan is upset that Reade kept Tasha’s feelings a secret from her.

As the team chases after Charon at his comic book shop, Jane finds him first. In self-defense, Jane ends up stabbing Charon. Meanwhile, Avery learns from her godmother that she will inherit her father’s entitlements. Seeing her father’s dead body, Avery admits she loves and hates him for what he did with Crawford.

Patterson tries to cool down the arguments between her mother and father. Charon’s files point to Lynette Beaumont, Avery’s godmother. Avery and Kane are at the godmother’s place when Reade gets an urgent text. The team huddles together as the godmother sneakily interrogates Jane.

Avery stumbles onto her godmother’s pen, a gift from Crawford. The godmother starts shooting, grazing Jane, when Avery makes the connection. As soon as the godmother’s hit squad arrives, Jane and Avery hide in the panic room.

With the panic room being filled with gas, Avery wraps up Jane’s wound. When Kurt shows up, he makes communication with the godmother. Jane uses Avery’s red shirt to make a smoke signal, telling Kurt to advance.

While Jane fights the rest of the goons, Avery ends up with a gun and points the barrel at her godmother. The godmother reveals Avery’s father was going to confess and they had to shut him up. Jane convinces Avery to lower her gun as Reade arrests the godmother.

Bill admits to Patterson that he patched things up with his wife. Patterson follows her father’s advice to start forgiving Tasha. Megan ends up giving back her engagement ring to Reade.
