With the season finale upon us, NBC continues the action and drama of Blindspot Season 3 one more time with Episode 22: In Memory, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton. Jane Doe (Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Stapleton) are back together solving the cases behind the mystery tattoos.
Back in South Africa, Roman (Luke Mitchell) reveals everything has been leading to this. Waking up in bed together, Reade (Rob Brown) and Tasha (Audrey Esparza) kiss before he leaves to go back on the case. As Roman quotes The Count of Monte Cristo, Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) joins the team to decipher the puzzling message.
Hank Crawford (David Morse) threatens to kill Roman as Blake (Tori Anderson) tries to calm him down. With all eyes on Crawford’s Iimo, the FBI swarms in on Blake. All of a sudden, Jane gets a terrible headache and falls unconscious.
After Kurt finds a woozy Jane, Rich and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) continue working on the new tattoo mystery. Jane reveals to Patterson that she knows why she fainted. Tasha signs her resignation with Reade and breaks off their relationship before leaving.
Jane and Kurt uses Blake’s love for Roman against her. Blake wants assurance that her family will be protected if she talks. After finding Crawford’s jet in South Africa, Rich discovers another clue that takes them to Cape Town.
Roman tranquilizes Crawford before taking out the rest of his security team. During their road trip, Jane reveals to Kurt that she thinks she’s pregnant. At an abandoned mansion, Jane has flashbacks to her childhood and finds a family photo in a hidden gun.
Elsewhere, Crawford is being held hostage at Xander, an abandoned orphanage, which he built. The orphanage was a test to find young soldiers, like Roman, to serve him. This was actually Hank’s passion project.
After Rich and Patterson find Xander through Shepherd’s military files, Crawford tells Roman that they’re no different. Jane shows up as Roman is about to pull the trigger. Willing to stall for him, Crawford knows Roman is love with Blake; tell her everything.
While Kurt gets shot, Crawford asks Roman to finish what he started. Jane finally confronts Crawford and reveals she is Roman’s sister. After Jane shoots him, Hank dies and realizes he created something great.
After escaping, Roman drives off to find Blake. She ends up shooting him, revealing she never knew him. Blake leaves Roman, bleeding out on the road. Jane finds Roman, who begs her forgiveness before dying.
Jane doesn’t have time to mourn as the rest of the tattoos start popping up on Patterson’s computers. Tasha and Blake are actually working together in secret. After Jane faints in the hospital, Kurt’s stitches open up.
Kurt learns Jane wasn’t pregnant at all. She is actually dying from poisoning, but there is a cure that Roman was trying to find. The realization sends Kurt back to the hospital.
With her memories lost again, Jane thinks her real mission is to tear Kurt and his team apart.
Blindspot continues with Season 4 on NBC.
