Following up the success of Titans, DC Universe continues the first season of Doom Patrol, with Episode 5: Paw Patrol, starring Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser. Find out how this band of superhero weirdos teamed-up against the super villain known as Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk).
When we last left them, Eric Morden (Tudyk) had kidnapped The Chief (Timothy Dalton) from the school bus. Much to his father’s disapproval, Cyborg (Joivan Wade) joins the ragtag team to find Dr. Niles Caulder. The team is unable to save the world as The De-Creator is summoned by the Cult of the Unwritten Book.
Elliott (Ted Sutherland) has been raised to think he will save the world. Unfortunately, he discovered that he’s meant to end it. Elliott helplessly watches as his own mother slits his father’s throat. After trying to save him, Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby) helpless watches as the De-Creator turns him to ashes and dust.
Locked up in a snow globe, Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Fraser) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) are trying to find their way back home. Time is running out before the De-Creator wipes out everything. Before his plans are ruined, Eric Morden reluctantly teams-up with The Chief to save the world.
In the past, Crazy Jane is being tortured by a twisted scientist. Crazy Jane summons up Dr. Harrison to save her. Mr. Nobody and the Chief have picked Dr Harrison to put together her own cult. This brand new cult has to be ready in the future in order to defeat the De-Creator.
While Dr. Harrison gathers the cult of the Re-Creator, Cyborg (Joivan Wade), Kipler (Mark Sheppard), and Larry Trainor (Bomer) are shocked to find the Chief walking around. Mr. Nobody has granted Nile the ability to walk so that he fulfill his part of the plan.
All of sudden, a cult member of the Re-Creator has shown up to rescue Robotman and Crazy Jane. As Dr. Harrison, Crazy Jane then rings the bell at the high tower, summoning the incantation. Kipler reads the words and is able to summon the Re-Creator.
While the Re-Creator and De-Creator have an eye staying content, everything that was turned to dust is bought back. Unfortunately, Elasti-Girl refuses to believe that Elliot is gone. Elasti-Girl is gone from the mansion when Mr. Nobody decides to show up.
Niles’ farewell is even more painful when the rest of the team decides to protect him. Before kidnapping him once more, Mr. Nobody slows down time, causing Cyborg’s sonic arm to overload and blow itself up. Cyborg is forced to send an SOS to his father to heal his cybernetic arm.
In the flashback, we see Niles save Crazy Jane from the insane asylum. Disrupting the timeline, Mr. Nobody orders Dr. Harrison to do something for him. Crazy Jane has an assignment to do in the future, after the apocalypse.
While painting in the yard, Mr. Nobody tells Crazy Jane that she has to find the Doom Patrol.
Doom Patrol continues Fridays on DC Universe.
