Following up the success of Titans, DC Universe continues the first season of Doom Patrol, with Episode 4: Cult Patrol, starring Matt Bomer and Brendan Fraser. Find out how this band of superhero weirdos teamed-up against the super villain known as Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk).

When we last left them, Eric Morden (Tudyk) had kidnapped The Chief (Timothy Dalton) from the school bus. Much to his father’s disapproval, Cyborg (Joivan Wade) joins the ragtag team to find Dr. Niles Caulder. A trip to Paraguay left the team feeling defeated, even after learning more about their enemy.

Elliott (Ted Sutherland) has been raised to think he will save the world. Unfortunately, his father warns his son that he’s meant to end it. Elliott helplessly watches as his own mother slits his father’s throat.

At Doom Manor, Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Fraser) has a dream about his daughter. He wakes up to find Babydoll, Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), sleeping on his chest. The team kicks back and forth as Cyborg (Joivan Wade) argues with Elasti-Girl (April Bowlby) about keeping her sidelined.

All of sudden, Kipler (Mark Sheppard), the supernatural detective, shows up at the mansion looking for Niles. The team reluctantly helps him because hey it’s the end of the world. After opening up a portal, Robotman and Crazy Jane unexpectedly find Elliott, bringing him back to the manorr.

Cyborg refuses to let Kipler kill Elliott to save the world; there has to be another way. Elasti-Girl  wants no part and Larry Trainor (Bomer) resists to use his negative spirit. Robotman and Crazy Jane end up visiting a priest to close another portal, but find themselves getting sucked into another dimension.

While Robotman and Crazy Jane are being held hostage, the negative spirit leaves Larry’s body and allows Elliot to escape. The negative spirit forces Larry to watch one of Niles’ videotapes. It’s torture being inside Larry’s body too.

Elliot is just about to jump off the roof when Elasti-Girl pops up. She manages to convince him not to kill himself. While Robotman and Crazy Jane are being mind-tortured by Elliot’s mother, Elasti-Girl realizes she is useful to the team.

Zombies made out of paper end up storming Doom Manor. After tricking Cyborg into a trap, Kipler attempts to kill Elliot with his burning sword. Already in control, Elasti-Girl uses her blood powers to stop Kipler from killing him. Unfortunately, the Cult of the Unwritten Book finally get their hands on Elliot.

The Cult of the Unwritten Book end up using Elliot to open the sky and bring forth the De-Creator.
